Wondering what to do next...

I had posted my request for a "sewing and crafts" newsgroup, but got no
replies.

I then posted to nf.general to see if I could generate some interest and got
a response like "You need to post this to nf.config"!

Am I going about this the wrong way? I had previously sent Mr. Dodge an
email (at his mun addy) but did not get a reply.

Can someone help? I still really think this kind of a newsgroup would
work...

The lack of response to your query in this newsgroup shows there's not enough
interest in the proposed group to warrant creation of a new group.
